Everton have approached Arsenal over a loan deal for Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The 23-year-old was an unused substitute in Arsenal’s two matches this season but came off the bench and recorded an assist in 6-0 Carabao Cup bashing of West Brom in the week.
As a result of the aforementioned, it’s been reported that Niles is keen on a move away from the Emirates for regular football before the transfer deadline.
A number of other Premier League sides have shown interest following his loan spell at West Brom in the second half of last season with Southampton also among his admirers.
According to reports, Everton remains his likely destination as Rafa Benitez is looking to strengthen his squad before the transfer deadline and versatility will give Everton many choices in other areas including midfielder and full-back.
