Villarreal sensation, Arnold Danjuma has revealed that he would opt to play for the Super Eagles if he fail to get a chance to represent Netherlands.
The former Bournemouth star, who was alleged to have switched allegiance to Nigeria, marked his debut for the Oranje with a goal in the 6-0 win Gibraltar, after coming on as a substitute in the game.
However, he said, “It wasn’t as it was reported. My statement was blown out of what it means”, he said after the game.
“I feel Dutch and I have always wanted to play for the team after my heart. Nigeria is a country I love but playing for them is an option I see as a fall back if I don’t get my chance here. I’m here now and I want to make it count”. He said.
Danjuma was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but relocated to Netherlands few years later. He has Nigerian mother and a Dutch father.
