The roundabout at Maryland bus stop has reportedly been demolished.

It was learnt that the said roundabout and there others which would also be demolished are being removed by the Lagos State government in a bid to curb the intense traffic in the city

While the okada and marwa ban was executed on Friday, these roundabouts :Ikotun, 2nd roundabout on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Allen Avenue roundabout would be demolished soon to ensure the free flow of traffic

In December 2019, the Lagos state government announced the planned demolition of some roundabouts across the state. The statement on Twitter read;

our roundabouts including Ikotun, 2nd roundabout on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Allen Avenue roundabout and Maryland will be removed to pave the for road expansion and free flow of traffic.@jidesanwoolu #LASG #ForAGreaterLagos
