Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has slammed the World governing body, FIFA for snubbing Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy in the final 30-man list for the Ballon d’Or award.
The Chelsea goalkeeper has been overlooked for the 30-man nominations list for this year’s award.
Koulibaly said: “We have to do double the work to be well evaluated.
“It is a shame that Edouard is not one of the nominees. He is the first African goalkeeper to win the Champions League. We have to keep working. He is a very personable person, positive.
“I’ve already talked to him about this and he will continue to fight to be there. For me, he deserved to be in the top 30.”
