Nasarawa Records 800 Cholera Cases

Over 800 cholera cases have been recorded across 13 local government areas in Nasarawa state.

Dr Ibrahim Alhassan-Adamu, Director of Public Healthcare in the state’s Ministry of Health said the majority of the cases have been treated and discharged from health facilities.

Adamu told Daily Trust that the state government is yet to curb the spread of the disease due to practice of open defecation which was still rampant among the people, especially those in riverine areas.
