Oyetola approves renovation of Osogbo stadium


Osun state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has given approval for renovation of Osogbo Township Stadium.

The state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Yemi Lawal, made disclosure in Osogbo, during a reception organised for the state female football team, Osun Babes.

Lawal, who charged the footballers to be dedicated, reemphasised that the state would place top priority on players’ welfare and that of their officials.

Lawal, in a statement by the Information Officer, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Oluwabunmi Akindele, obtained in Osogbo on Friday, also congratulated the team on the victory it recorded in its penultimate game.

He then promised to ensure that the team had the support of the government for it to further project the state to an enviable height.

“On behalf of the state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, we congratulate you for doing the state proud in the encounter. We will do everything humanly possible to ensure that the team enjoy the full support of the state government at all times,” Lawal concluded.
