Prince Laoye releases “Ede ni mi”


Being a proud son of Ede, Osun State, Prince Adewale Laoye, popularly known as Drummer of Peace has again worked on a musical project designed to appreciate the ancient town of Ede and her history.

The musical project is titled “Ede Ni Mi” and the track has been released to the public with a video to show for it as well.

In a statement issued by his media manager, Tobi Olanipekun and obtained by REPUBLICAN NIGERIA on Thursday, explained that “Ede Ni Mi” has been in the works for quite a while now.

The song is curated to arouse the consciousness and inspire the pride of the glorious sons and daughters of Ede land.

“Prince Laoye is someone who cares so deeply about his root, its history and the people. He was so intentional about fine tuning the Ede Anthem and for the people to embrace it more than ever before. This ingenuity gave birth to “Ede Ni Mi” and it is receiving positive responses cum commendations from home and abroad.”, the statement reads.

A visual for the song featuring prominent and outstanding sons and daughters of Ede has been released. The part 2 of this visual is being heavily demanded so as to include more prominent people of the soil in the video of the song.
